My Favorite Artists #6 - Moebius

This artist made me realize that my talent was extremely limited compared to his. His detail and cross hatching and line work is unparallelled.

Seriously, Just browse through this collection of his artwork and watch your mouth gape.

John's work on the Conan the Barbarian comic was awesome. His vision of Conan was MY vision of Conan. I tried so hard to emulate his style.

My Favorite Artists #2 - Frank Frazetta

Frank Frazetta is one of my all time favorite artists. This book... I stole it from my art teacher at school. I couldn't bear to live without it. So I borrowed it and never took it back. She never asked for it, and I never mentioned it. It is still somewhere in my collection to this day.

Check it out...

My Favorite Artists #1 - Barry Windsor Smith

This guy was a great artist. His art was a bit of an acquired taste for me initially, but eventually it really took root in my imagination and I couldn't get enough. He was the first artist on the Conan the Barbarian comic. His Conan was more elegant, or graceful. Yet he still could be the killing machine he had to be sometimes. I mean just look at this... wow.
