Early Deaths

1. Eddie Cochran. Awesome. Died at 21 and left a lasting legacy of greatness. Would he have been as popular if he had lived? Who knows. But as it is, he is HUGELY influential. Influencing Steve Marriott (great great great) and Bruce Springsteen to name a few.
Here is Humble Pie doing an Eddie Cochran song. Steve Marriott was bad ass. (He also died WAY too young)

2. Gene Vincent. Very unlucky guy. He was pretty cool. Had a cool song I liked a lot. The song was called "Be Bob A Lula".

3. Johnny Horton. Interesting guy. Influenced Dwight Yoakam among others. Always sorta saw him as a bit of a novelty act. Did you know he was Hank Jr.'s step dad?

4. Dennis Wilson. The good looking Wilson brother. Nominal drummer. He was an interesting guy. Ironic as heck that he drowned, and was a "Beach Boy". There's a mean joke in there somewhere. Was he a good drummer? No not really. Was he the drummer in a successful band? Yep.

Back after 1 year Away!

Well this is the first post I've made in just over a year. I guess I don't visit the dark alley as often as I used to. I will try to ramp up the post output. I have been through a lot in the last year. I will try to update the blog as soon as I get a chance.
